I’m Not That Person Anymore:
A Nurse’s Journey Living With
Metastatic Breast Cancer
E. Wertz Evans and A. Katz
NEW!
In a series of online journal entries by a nurse who becomes
a patient, Elizabeth Wertz Evans provides readers with an
unvarnished look at how a healthcare professional deals
with a diagnosis of breast cancer after having experienced
more than one person’s share of losses, followed by the news
of spread of the disease to her liver after a long period of
remission. To help guide readers through her journey,
Liz recruited Anne Katz, PhD, RN, FAAN, author of several
best-selling books on cancer, to explain the evidence and
science behind the experiences shared in this book and to
provide insight into what it is like for a woman who is a
nurse living with metastatic cancer. Liz’s main purpose
and hope for writing this book is to help other patients
fighting metastatic breast cancer as well as the nurses
who care for them.
