From the President.... The pre season has kicked off in fine form with Beachside Div A and Social womens teams reaching the semi finals of the summer cup. Great to see our teams coming together and putting in quality performances against victory league sides. Also wonderful to see many players moving up from Beachside juniors into our Adult competitions. It’s also fantastic to see so many ladies coming on board to join our ever growing teams. The committee are working hard on ensuring clear administrative roles and moving the club forward in 2014 with some exciting events happening in conjunction with an exciting season. Our coaching and management team for 2014 are looking stronger than ever and more people are coming on board to support the Beachside committee and fund-raising social events. please do not hesitate to let me know if you have ideas, or if you can help in any way. A few dates in our diary will see 22nd March as a day where we compete in the Statewide cup and Lakoseljac Cup, hosting Ulverstone Ladies, Taroona u20's and Kingborough Lions. We will also be hosting a family day on 22nd at Sandown for all of the Beachside family in conjunction with these fortunate fixtures. We are also looking for auction prizes for our auction and quiz night and are looking forward to our Beachside Green and Black Ball at Sandy Bay Yacht Club. A packed calendar of events for the Beachside family, supporting our family orientated community club. Junior teams are coming together with training facilities being secured at Bell street courtesy of Friends school and also Valhalla coming on board as an awesome sponsor for our juniors as well as existing sponsorships from Brierley Hose and Handling and Shipwrights Arms. Many businesses are coming forward as part of our community directory. Please let us know if you would like to find out more about your business being part of this scheme. Look out for a press release from FFT and Beachside about our new Technical Director. I think it’s safe to say a lot of you know him well.
