EXTRA TIME

The 2014 Kanga Cup will take place from July 6th to 11th and will have a fresh new feel thanks to a major rebranding of the tournament. Visitors and participants to the competition cannot fail to see the new branding for the Southern Hemispheres largest international youth football tournament.

The re-design of the iconic Kanga Cup logo will re-engage with participants and other audiences to increase the tournament’s reach and influence. It is not merely a new logo but a refreshed approach to marketing. The new Kanga Cup brand recognises the importance of promoting professionalism, unity, fun and friendship and alongside a new website and a comprehensive communications strategy breathes new life into the popular event.

Through refreshing the brand and image of the Kanga Cup, Capital Football, who hosts and runs the competition, hopes to attract more commercial partners for the event.

“The redesign of the Kanga Cup logo comes at the right time for the competition and we are positive that the new look will be well-received by the participants,” Capital Football Business Manager Sam Irvine said. “The new look will also enable us to sell the event to potential commercial partners as it brings a fresh approach and is in keeping with modern design logos at major events.

“In a competitive sponsorship market the dynamic, exciting new logo and refreshed marketing approach will enable the Kanga Cup to strike a chord with potential investors as well as, importantly, engaging our stakeholders and attracting new participants from throughout Australia.”.

The 2014 Kanga Cup will take place in early July and registrations for the event are now open. Interested clubs should visit our new website at www.kangacup.com. For further information on how to register to take part.
