Ice Rink and Sled Hill
GENERAL INFORMATION
Ice Rink
Multi-purpose Ice Rink used for open skate , hockey , special events and programs . Ice Skating in Mundelein Community Park is available from December through March , weather permitting . Please check mundeleinparks . org for the ice rink schedule .
Sled Hill
The Sled Hill is open daily : Monday – Thursday : 7:30 am – 8 pm Friday – Sunday : 7:30 am – 10 pm
HOW TO CHECK THE OPEN / CLOSED STATUS OF ICE RINK AND SLED HILL To check the status of the ice rink and sled hill , please visit the Rainout Hotline page on our website at mundeleinparks . org , download the Rainout Hotline app or call the Rainout Hotline at 224 263.3006 . If the lights are off after dusk at the sled hill or the ice rink it means that the amenity is closed . A sign will also be posted at the site if either amenity is closed .

Learn to Skate ( Ages 4 – 12 )
Fun class designed for beginners with no previous instruction or experience ! Skaters will be introduced to basic skills such as : standing , falling , marching and gliding ! Led by Park District Staff . ( 5 wks )
NOTE : Skaters must have their own skates ! Please dress according to the weather , and wear gloves or mittens .

Learn to Play Hockey ( Ages 8 – 12 )
Come join us to learn the fundamentals of Learn to Play Hockey ( LPH )! LPH creates a fun , relaxed introductory environment for participants to learn the fundamental skills of ice hockey . The non-competitive and positive atmosphere makes a child ’ s first experience with hockey fun , and creates an environment in which they can excel . Participants will learn to skate and be introduced to stick and puck skills . Led by Park District Staff . ( 5 wks )
NOTE : All participants must have helmet , skates , gloves and shin pads for class .
