Phase Fun was a huge success . A special thanks goes to Sam ’ s Club and REI , for donating the grand prizes . Phase Fun has concluded , but the fun continues at the park district ! Find your fun in our Fall Brochure .
The district keeps moving forward and innovating to provide services for our community . Keep your family engaged and having fun with new programs such as a Scarecrow Contest ( p . 12 ), Hocus Pocus in the Park ( p . 12 ), and Pie N ’ Puzzle Palooza ( p . 13 ).

BASKETBALL
September kicks off with Mundelein Arts Festival , celebrating its 10th year ( p . 10 ), and Daddy Daughter Dance ( p . 11 ). October wouldn ’ t be complete without Boo Bash ! Boo Bash is a free event , but you will need to register for a time slot ( p . 13 ). We are excited to start another year of Mundelein Jr . Basketball leagues for grades K – 6 . ( pp . 28 – 29 ).

In December 2020 , Park District partner and lessee , NovaCare Rehabilitation (“ NovaCare ”), was involved with a joint venture agreement with Rush University System for Health . NovaCare ’ s parent company , Select Medical Corporation , announced that as a result of the venture agreement , the company name of “ NovaCare Rehabilitation ” and other subsidiaries in certain markets in the Midwest , was changing to “ RUSH Physical Therapy .” Therefore , Mundelein Park & Recreation District and Rush Physical Therapy have created a new logo for the Health and Fitness Center , Indoor Pool , and Gymnasium . Additionally , Select Medical Corporation has contributed to the construction of the Community Center marquee , which reduced the expense significantly . If you have the opportunity to visit Rush Physical Therapy , please stop in to talk with their terrific staff . I can attest to their quality care and physical therapy .
As we move into the Fall , planning will be our primary focus . A Community-Wide Survey was conducted by Northern Illinois University Center for Governmental Studies . Randomly selected homes received the survey . Residents who didn ' t receive this survey in the mail but would like to participate can take the survey on our website . Your feedback will be essential so the Board and staff can begin to prioritize needs and projects over the next five years . Results will be shared with the Board and on our website by September , starting a one-year Comprehensive Master Plan process .
We look forward to continuing to provide new and exciting services with safety in mind .
