Safer loads from yard to delivery with dedicated training
Mentor Training, the UK’ s leading provider of material handling equipment training, has developed a range of specialist loading and securing courses designed to help builders merchants keep operations safe and compliant.
Merchants face unique challenges, with vehicles often carrying mixed loads of varying sizes across multiple deliveries each day, so it is vital that proper preparations are made to reduce risk and ensure safe transportation.
To target the risks, Mentor has developed its BMF-approved training course‘ Load Security and Lashing for Builders Merchants’. Aligned with the DVSA Code of Practice and relevant legislation, the course helps businesses strengthen load security standards while maintaining compliance.

The course is also available as Driver CPCaccredited training, contributing 3.5 hours towards the 35 hours of periodic training required every five years to maintain a Driver Certificate of Professional Competence.
