Charlotte Gibbard

THE BMF recently said goodbye to Charlotte Gibbard who joined us for 12 weeks over the University Summer break. She worked as an intern to gain experience under the expert guidance of the BMF’ s Industry Analyst / Economist, Andrei Imbru.
Charlotte is now back at Coventry University, and given her work here at the BMF, she has now taken a real liking for following a career in Data Analytics. Thus, changing her course from Business Management to Data Analytics with Business Management.
Whilst working at BMF Head Office, Charlotte was able to contribute to many aspects of the BMF’ s work, including Forecast Reports, State of Trade Reports and

During her time with the BMF, Charlotte showed that she had excellent knowledge and demonstrated a clear aptitude for the subject, which should stand her in good stead for wherever her future career takes her.

Joseph Salmon

WE welcomed our new Policy & Public Affairs Advisor, Joseph Salmon, to the BMF back in June.
Joseph joins the team to work alongside Brett Amphlett down in the BMF’ s London Office. His role will be to support Brett in all aspects of our policy and public affairs work. A key part of this is to give central government, devolved administrations and regional / local authorities our input to help them to shape policy and allocate funding in the most appropriate way to support the sector.
His work covers parliamentary and regulatory monitoring, policy analysis, member communications, and stakeholder and media engagement. This includes tracking legislation and
consultations affecting the sector, translating complex policy into practical guidance for members, and helping ensure the industry’ s voice is heard on the issues that matter most, from construction products reform and building safety to employment regulation and trade.
Joseph has a degree in Politics from Exeter University and has previously worked for the Institute of Economic Affairs( IEA) in London.
