BUILD WITH CONFIDENCE; BUILD WITH CONSCIENCE.

Sustainability is central to everything Mannok does as the company works towards the ambitious targets set out in its sustainability strategy, Mannok 2030 Vision.
One of the UK and Ireland ' s most diverse manufacturers of construction products, Mannok is making significant investments in solar PV as part of its long-term decarbonisation journey. The company recognises that expanding renewable energy capacity is essential to supporting greater electrification, reducing emissions, and strengthening operational resilience.
Mannok is progressing a series of rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV projects across its manufacturing sites as it continues to deliver on its sustainability commitments.
A flagship project is currently underway at Mannok ' s PIR Insulation and Packaging manufacturing facilities, where Ireland ' s largest rooftop solar installation is being developed.
Delivered by Activ8 Solar Energies, the landmark project will transform almost four hectares of rooftop space into a clean energy asset capable of generating up to 6MW of renewable electricity through a Power Purchase Agreement( PPA) with SSE Airtricity.
Once completed and energised, the installation will comprise approximately 10,000 solar panels, covering an area equivalent to 5.5 football pitches. It will supply a significant proportion of Mannok ' s electricity demand while avoiding an estimated 792 tonnes of carbon emissions each year.
Mannok has already completed its first solar PV installation at its Aircrete manufacturing facility in Derrylin. The 0.8MW system is expected to reduce CO₂ emissions by approximately 307 tonnes annually.
The company also has plans for a two-phase ground-mounted solar development, further increasing the amount of renewable electricity generated across its operations.
These projects form part of a wider renewable energy programme following Mannok ' s acquisition by global building materials company Çimsa in 2024.
Over the past three and a half years, Çimsa has installed almost 45,000 solar panels across its facilities in Afyon, Buñol and Eskişehir. Once the Mannok installation is complete, Çimsa ' s total installed solar capacity will exceed 30MW.
Combined with the waste heat recovery( WHR) power generation facilities already operating at its Mersin and Eskişehir plants, Çimsa ' s total renewable energy generation capacity will exceed 41MW. Together, these investments are expected to prevent approximately 50,000 tonnes of carbon emissions every year.
