One USQ Connectivity Projects Zoom The rise of Zoom at USQ How to access help! In the interest of offering USQ staff flexible video conferencing options and simple on-line meeting solutions, Zoom meeting technology is available to all staff when existing video conferencing options are not able to be used. Zoom has been trialled and endorsed for use by USQ staff as both an on-line meeting tool for non-academic purposes and certain learning and teaching applications. Instructional information for getting started with Zoom is available now via AskUSQ for Staff, or the Zoom website. Future Options While Zoom Webinar has been used with great success here at USQ, other Zoom functions such as Zoom Breakouts have not yet been trialled or tested for use at USQ for teaching and learning purposes. Over the coming months, we will be testing this and a number of other available Zoom functions and will advise staff once these functions are fully supported. Until this time, ICT will make best efforts to provide technical support to staff who have already planned Semester 1 course use of Zoom! Information on technical support for video conferencing options and future plans around unified communications at USQ should be directed to Troy Downs. For advice about videoconferencing communication options, uses and support arrangements for academic purposes contact Learning Systems Support on ext 2666 or [email protected]. 15
