Which junior team(s) did you play for as a child?

The junior team I played for were called Hindsford Juniors and it was some of my happiest footballing memories

Who were your football idols whilst growing up?

My footballing idols were Roy Keane and Zidane, the qualities in Roy Keane I liked were his passion and leadership qualities and Zidane had unbelievable skill, technique and made the game look so easy.

Which team’s results do you look for first on a Saturday?

If I'm not playing in the match and not at the game then Accrington's is the first result I look for but other than that it would be Bolton.

If you could pick your own squad number what would it be?

I'm lucky to have number 4 for Accrington which is my favourite number. It's the number I wore as a youngster.

Who is your favourite current player?

My favourite current player would have to be Toni Kroos especially after the World Cup

Who is the toughest opponent you have played against?

My toughest ever opponent would be Ivan Campo

Everyone has a favourite second team, who is yours?

My second team would probably be Manchester United as I was growing up they played fantastic football and were very successful.

If you were a contestant on Mastermind, what would be your specialist subject?

Would have to be football.

Who do you room with for away matches?

I normally room with Dean Winnard but it changes sometimes

What advice would you give to young footballers?

Always play with a smile on your face and make sure you enjoy playing. Always give it your best and don't ever be afraid of asking questions and doing extra training. Never give up on your dream, knock backs and disappointments will only make you stronger.

If you weren’t a footballer what job do you think you would have?

I would probably be a PE teacher or something to do with sports and working with youngsters.

What do you do to relax between games?

To relax between games I spend time with my family and dog. Me and my wife have a 1 year old daughter called Eva who keeps us very busy, we really enjoy going for days out and going out for nice food. I also like to socialise with friends, watching films and doing plenty of jobs around the house.

What position did you play when you were younger?

When I first started to play football as a child I played right back and as a teenager I moved into central midfield and have stayed there ever since

What was the last song you downloaded?

The last song I purchased is Rude by Magic
