Hartley Wintney JFC Pull Up Their Socks for KitAid
As World Cup Football Fever takes hold the Hartley Wintney Junior Football Club, Beavers Scouts and Cubs scrub their boots and pull up their socks to donate their kit to KitAid
Hartley Wintney helps make a difference to someone somewhere whose
dream could be to play at a World Cup. Hartley Wintney boys have pulled
together and recently helped load a pallet or two of previously loved football
kit including boots , shirts , shorts, shin pads and jackets which will now be
used by other children less fortunate than themselves around the world.
Simon Wood, Chairman of HWJFC said , “ It is a tribute to our young players
that they wanted to be involved with this charity and with excitement of the world cup it is great to see that we can make a little difference to aspiring football players in the poorest of countries. We will continue to collect on behalf of Kit Aid next season”
The 4th Bramshill Scout group tackled their boot cupboards as well and Scout volunteers already support the football club and fund raise providing much needed refreshment at the junior home games.
Paul Hedges, District Commissioner added “We are very proud of our Beavers and Cubs and the local volunteers who help support this and many other community projects. We plan to provide a drop off point for kit next season so that we can increase our efforts. During the football season our Scouts currently make the best bacon butties in Hartley Wintney on a Saturday morning and we aim to have a collection point for KitAid so that we can support for many more seasons”
KitAid is a registered charity and aims to bring smiles to children who are passionate about football. So please tackle your own boot room and check under the bed for this seasons boots, give them a clean and help make a difference to someone somewhere whose dream is to be at a World Cup .
