Clitheroe Wolves held it’s annual Presentation Day on 10th May. It has become neccassry to split the event into 2 due to the sheer size of the club. 27 teams represented Clitheroe Wolves in the 2013-14 season, with over 70 children training under 6 also.
Clitheroe FC kindly agreed to let us have the use of Shawbridge for the morning in order for us to hold a Festival of Football. This consisted of all the under 7 squads and younger playing a fun tournament on the Shawbridge surface. Ex Wolves player Jake Lloyd gave his time up to kindly present the medals and Trophies to the children who had represented Wolves throughout the season. There were over 70 children taking part in the tournament and all has an enjoyable time despite the weather not playing ball. Many Thanks go to Chairperson Ann Barker of Clitheroe FC for giving access to the pitch and providing refreshments.
Special guests were Jake Lloyd and Dominic Telford who are both ex Wolves players. Jake has gone on to represent Nelson FC and Dominic is a second year apprentice at Blackpool Football Club. Alan Greenwood who is secretary of the Accrington Boys League was also in attendance as a special guest.
It was standing room only in the club with 19 teams represented from Under 8 through to Under 13. Each team received a POY, Managers POY and Team award. It has been a very successful season for the Wolves with all individual honours being awarded on the night.
