OLDHAM ATHLETIC ACADEMY
1) Favourite Position?
My favourite position has to be "Goal Keeper" everyone wants to be a striker and to score goals but saving goals for me is much better. It is one of the most important positions on the team, that's why I have the number 1 on my shirt.
2) Favourite Player?
My favourite player is Manuel Neuer because he is very talented and a very consistent goal keeper but I also like Cristiano Ronaldo because I like how he controls his free kicks into the bottom corner or top corner of the nets and how he swerves through defenders to score goals.
3) Any pastimes you enjoy?
I love going watching my team Oldham Athletic, I like playing football with my best friend Ben and doing extra training with my dad in the garden, I also watch football on tv day and night, I like mountain bike riding with my dad and taking my dog Coco for walks.
4) If you could save a penalty from one player who would it be?
I would love to save a penalty against Cristiano Ronaldo, because I think he is the most talented goal scorer in the world.
5) Do you wear one make of gloves or prefer to use different gloves?
I wear two makes of gloves these being Just4Keepers Pro Range Gloves which I get from my coach at Oldham and Elite R1's from Elite Goalkeeping. Both of these gloves I think are brilliant and give me loads of confidence with excellent grip on the ball.
6) Have you always been a goalkeeper?
No, I first started playing football for Chadderton Park FC for the Lions U8's I played on the right wing for the first half of the season, we played a game against Roach Dynamos and our keeper was ill so I was asked if I would like to play in goal, I played the game in goal for Chaddy Lions and ended up with Man of the Match and from then on I have played in goal.
After a great first season I had trials for Morecambe FC for their centre of excellence and was picked to play but before signing I was invited for trails to Oldham Athletic and with this being my home team I went for trials in the summer and was signed on the first night, I am now in my second season with Oldham Athletic academy and I love every minute of it.
