Clitheroe Wolves u8 Greens had a day to remember recently when they acted as mascots at the Accrington Stanley vs Wycombe Wanderers match in League Division 2.

The team were supported by their coaches Bryan and Gav and 48 family and friends The team walked with the players out on to the pitch prior to the game and entertained the crowd at half time, playing a short 5-a-side game. Although the weather was poor, the players were resplendent in kits sponsored by Capita Symonds and Training jackets provided by Shaun McCullogh at Leafield Windows. The team play in the local Accrington and District Junior Football League.

Globe Bullough Park u10s Bulls, who play in the East Lancs Football Alliance, would like to say a massive thanks to their new sponsors for their new kit. The new sponsor is a big part of the home games at Bullough Park every Saturday and Sunday and turn up in all weathers to provide hot food and drinks for the players and parents of all teams who visit the club.

Murrays Munchies a local food van heard we were looking for a new kit for the lads and jumped right in and offered to sponsor the lads.

A lot of the children enjoy the van after a game and can be seen sitting down after a great game of football enjoying one of the many hot butties on offer.

The owners of the van said, "We love to come to the club as they put the kids first at all times. After watching a few of the teams and then to see the lads come to the van after the games with smiles on their faces was enough for us to say we would be very proud to sponsor for one of the teams .Globe Bullough Park FC and all their coaches give up all their spare time to make this club bigger every year and give the kids a safe and happy place and to be part of a team. And with what we see week in week out it's all worth it and would like to wish all the teams at this club good luck for 2013/14 season and look forward to been a part of the club for a very long time."

One parent of the boys who play for the club said, "What Murrays Munchies have done this year is amazing the lads are well happy with the kit and even happier to grab a butty and brew after a game. I myself can't go a game without a brew and butty which is always served with a smile."

A spokesperson from.the club said, "The butty van has become very popular with the teams and are pleased to have them on board and would like to say thank you once again from all at Globe FC"
