igel has achieved level 1 award in coaching football and has been involved with coaching kids football for 15 years. He starting out managing his oldest son’s team through to under 16s and he is now managing his youngest son’s team. During his time in management he has managed to lead the team’s to two league titles one at under 9’s and one at under 14”s level. As of next year he will be starting his third term in management with his eldest grandchild at under 7’s level. He has also coached two junior schools football teams St Wulstan’s and Our Lady & St Huberts.
Whilst at Great Harwood Rovers Nigel has probably coached and developed somewhere in the region of 60 kids. He sets up high quality training sessions and has dedicated many hours to help children be involved in a safe enviroment and develop them to there full potential whilst also making it an enjoyable session at the same time. During Nigels time at Great Harwood Rovers Football Club he has had several roles within the club. As well as managing his team he has took on important everyday running of the club jobs ranging from junior rep to Kit Manager through to his
current post as Lyndon House playing fields groundsman. He dedicates many hours to produce good playing surfaces for the young kids of Great Harwood to play their matches on.
Oliver King attended King David Primary school and started at King David High School in September 2010. He was a keen sportsman who excelled in football, swimming, athletics and many other sports. Oliver passed away suddenly in March 2011, aged 12, from Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome (SADS). Our foundation has been set up in the name of Oliver and our aim is to try and raise awareness about the medical condition SADS which commonly affects people aged between 12 and 35 years of age.
