In 2025, 1si announced 7 projects that represent over $ 450 million in total capital investment throughout Clark, Floyd, and Scott County. As these projects are completed, the region will benefit from nearly 300 new jobs, the vast majority paying well above their county average wages, for a total estimated added payroll of $ 24,725,000 million annually.
This year’ s attraction and expansion projects consisted of a variety of industries and organizations. From international packaging operations to local engineering solutions, and longstanding manufacturing partnerships to construction initiatives and advancements in healthcare, our projects showcase growth across a wide array of industries. Our economic development highlights Southern Indiana’ s advantages in logistics, infrastructure, skilled workforce, and business climate.
Business Retention & Expansion( BRE) Program
To retain and grow the commerce that drives the regional economy, 1si’ s Business Retention and Expansion( BRE) program provides strategic guidance, trusted connections, and industry expertise at every stage of a company’ s growth. Through proactive outreach and advocacy, the program helps businesses navigate challenges, identify opportunities, and access the resources needed to remain competitive and successful in Southern Indiana.
In addition, 1si offers manufacturing companies the opportunity to join our Metro Manufacturing Alliance( MMA), a unique forum where manufacturing owners and leadership connect with industry peers to discuss common issues and engage on critical topics impacting their operations, the industry, and our regional economy.
