As I step into the role of Board Chair, I do so with great pride in what One Southern Indiana( 1si) has built and a deep sense of purpose for what we will accomplish together in the year ahead.
The 2025-2026 year was one for the record books. 1si celebrated 20 years of service to our region, and it’ s a milestone that speaks to the strength of the organization and the community it serves. Together, 1si has surpassed 1,100 members, and began the implementation of a new 3-Year Strategic Plan.
These are not just numbers. It’ s proof that when an organization stays committed to its people and its purpose, growth follows. We are taking bold steps to define a regional identity that reflects our strengths, potential, and unique logistics advantage.
The FOURIDOR, is more than a brand name, it’ s a statement about who we are and what we offer. Derived from the word“ corridor,” the FOURIDOR emphasizes our four R’ s: River, Rail, Roads, and Runways. These aren’ t just infrastructure assets; they represent a logistics and transportation network that gives our region a competitive edge unlike any other.
The strategic plan represents a defining moment for 1si. Developed with input from the Board of Directors, staff, members, and regional stakeholders, it is a living document. It will guide decisions, sharpen our focus, and position 1si for sustainable success. As we move into implementation, the priorities are clear: establish integrated board excellence, align our operational infrastructure, achieve sustainable financial growth, and deliver a unified strategic message to our members.
As we continue to advance as a chamber, our economic development efforts are expanding their reach and impact across the region. Beyond new jobs and capital investments, 1si and the Economic Development Council formalized an enhanced structure this year, one that positions us to better serve our community partners and align with the state’ s new regional economic development strategy.

Southern Indiana is a place of remarkable momentum. I see it every day in our schools, businesses, and communities. Having dedicated my career to developing people and strengthening institutions, I know that the work 1si does is foundational to that momentum. Connecting businesses, cultivating leaders, and championing economic growth creates a ripple effect that reaches the corners of Clark and Floyd counties.
I am deeply honored to serve alongside this exceptional Board of Directors, the remarkable team at 1si, and a membership whose leadership, innovation, and commitment continue to shape the future of our region. As we celebrate 20 years of impact, we also embrace an even greater opportunity to build on that legacy, challenge what is possible, and write the next chapter of Southern Indiana’ s success together.
