Board Chair( 2025-26)
As the next Board Chair, I am eager to work with the dedicated professionals of One Southern Indiana(“ 1si”) to sustain the support and success of our membership throughout the upcoming year.
The 2024-2025 year brought great benefits to our region. In addition to 130 + new members and countless events, 1si brought in over $ 579M in total capital investment. Beyond the numbers, 1si focused on strategic programming that offered members opportunities to foster connections and knowledge about local resources. As improved programming was mentioned in last year’ s letter by former Board Chair, Cathy Scrivner, we are content with its progress and will continue improving program initiatives.
Over the past year, there has been a significant stride towards completing a new strategic plan. One Southern Indiana secured a grant through the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana( CFSI) to aid in their creation and implementation of a strategic plan. The creation of the strategic plan has already been set in motion and is a unique process that involves feedback from the Board of Directors, the Executive Team, current staff members, and other stakeholders. The outcomes will become a road map for the next three years and serve as a guide in implementing new services, programs, and initiatives that impact our region.
As we complete the strategic plan, 1si is committed to serving its members and constituents to its fullest potential. The 1si staff will remain an integral part of the organization and are committed to being your resource, advantage, and advocate.
As I step into this role, I do so with deep appreciation for the foundation that has been laid and with great anticipation for what lies ahead. The energy radiating from 1si and its members is truly inspiring, and I am confident that together we will continue to invigorate and grow our region. I look forward to working alongside the Board of Directors, 1si staff, our members, as well as regional and state partners to build on our progress, execute our strategic vision, and create lasting impact for Southern Indiana.
