It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2023 version of the One Southern Indiana ( 1si ) Business Directory ! This annual guide is designed to assist you in finding the answers you need to do business in Southern Indiana , whether you are a new entrepreneur , a sales professional , an office manager or a seasoned business owner .
As you look over the hundreds of businesses represented here , consider the thousands of people they employ — people who work hard every day to help those companies ( and yours ) to prosper — and whose jobs enable them to pursue their own dreams .
Think about the millions of dollars invested in those companies by owners and entrepreneurs who believe South ern Indiana is the ideal place to do business , and whose investment is the living proof of that belief .
Think , too , about the millions of dollars in income and tax revenue generated by those same businesses , which allows our region to continually thrive , to move forward faster and improve the quality of life for all who live and work here .
As a Member of One Southern Indiana , you contribute to all that and more . Thanks to Members like you and companies like yours , the past fifteen years have seen more than 210 projects choose to locate or expand in South ern Indiana .
Projects announced in 2022 alone represented a total capital investment in southern Indiana of nearly $ 150 million dollars . As these projects are completed , the region will add over 980 new positions , the vast majority paying well above the average wage in the region , for total additional estimated payroll in excess of $ 70 million annually .
Those projects represent expansion by or attraction of companies in industries from automotive , health care services and liquor to manufacturing of precision components , household goods and training equipment , and much more . That speaks volumes about Southern Indiana ’ s mix of logistic ease , infrastructure , and talent — and our vibrant economic development efforts , as well .
Your membership allows us to advocate on your behalf for legislation and regulatory approaches that enhance your ability to do business in our state and our region , around the country and across the globe .
And it empowers and inspires our team to work hard every day to equip you for success , through networking opportunities , educational programming , business development tools and so much more .
The purpose in creating the guide is to support 1si ’ s mission “ To help businesses thrive in
Southern Indiana and the metro area .” As the chamber of commerce and economic development organization for Clark and Floyd counties , 1si is the premiere member organization for both businesses in Southern Indiana and those who want to do business in Southern Indiana and Louisville metro area .
