As a Member of One Southern Indiana , you contribute to all of that and more . Thanks to Members like you and companies like yours , the past fifteen years have seen more than 200 projects choose to locate or expand in Southern Indiana .
Projects announced in 2021 alone represented a total capital investment in Southern Indiana in excess of half a billion dollars . As these projects are completed , the region will add over 2,100 new positions , the vast majority paying well above the average wage in the region , for total additional estimated payroll in excess of $ 118 million annually .
Those projects represent expansions by or attractions of companies in industries from liquor , labels , logistics and digital communications to manufacturing of precision components , automotive interior components , automotive structural supports and parts , and much more . That speaks volumes about Southern Indiana ’ s mix of logistic ease , infrastructure , talent and more — and our vibrant economic development efforts , as well .
Your membership allows us to advocate on your behalf for legislation and regulatory approaches that enhance your ability to do business in our state and our region , around the country and across the globe .
It allowed us to facilitate the cooperative process that resulted in our region receiving a game-changing state READI grant in the amount of $ 50 million to be invested in quality of life projects that will help us attract and keep the workforce we need to grow and succeed .
And it empowers and inspires our team to work hard every day to equip you for success , through networking opportunities , educational programming , business development tools and so much more .
