“Ms Windrow, may we speak to you privately?” asked Mr Smith.

“Yes, of course, come this way,” smiled the woman and lead them to the back room. There they sat on a few chairs surrounding a small table.

“Would you like some tea?” offered Ms Windrow.

“No, thank you,” politely declined the couple.

“Ms Windrow, we wanted to ask you about these two children,” said Mr Smith. “When have they arrived at this orphanage?”
