Viewers at a recent exhibit wrote “There is a peace and calmness in nature and your incredible photographs capture that perfectly.” and “The art is . . . soothing to look at. It took my mind off a lot of things.” and “These pictures give you a calming effect from the outside storm.” The tiniest drops - left by fog, dew and rain - hold special magic. From a distance they sparkle with 26 a jewel-like glitter. Up close, they can hold within them a flower, a bush, the glowing sun. Spider webs or insects bedecked with them are truly wondrous. All of this is likely to elicit one of my favorite words – WOW. Reflections are so magical with both still and moving water. Many times there Is an otherworldly quality to them that magnetically draws me in. I can spend long periods watching the everchanging image before me as the water moves and the light changes. I am also fascinated to see how the reflections change as I move, up – down – left – right. It is wondrous, offering endless photographic possibilities. When I get lost in all this, joy comes and my physical pains and emotional distresses seem somehow to melt away. 27
