The Latvian airline A / S "Air Baltic Corporation"
(airBaltic) was founded in 1995. The main
shareholder with 80.05% of shares is the Republic of
Latvia, and Larsu Tuesen owns the remaining 20%,
through the exclusive company Aircraft Leasing 1
SIA. airBaltic is a hybrid airline that combines the
best practices of traditional network airlines and
carriers at low prices.
In 2008, airBaltic changed its operating model,
moving from passenger transportation from one
point to another to the network airline model,
thereby making Riga a transit hub between the West
and the East.
The main priorities of airBaltic are safety, accuracy
and quality of service.
