THE TOURIST
OFFICE OF GRAZ
The tourist office of Graz was founded in 1990.
Today the team consists of almost 30 employees.
The main duties of the team are public relations,
promotion of tourism and commercial advertising
in the field of tourism for recreation, meetings with
industry and trade in the Tourist Information
Center, the Office of Client Relations and the Bureau
of the Convention.
Graz Tourism Association was founded in 1993 after
the adoption of the Law on Tourism in Styria.
Members of the Tourism Association are
commercial enterprises or self-employed
enterprises covered by § 2 of the VAT Act.
The Graz Tourism Association with 24% is the
second largest share of the Graz Tourism Bureau
and contributes the bulk to the budget of the
Tourism Bureau.
The decisions of the Tourism Association are taken
in the Tourism Commission, which is elected every 5
years by the member of the Graz Tourism .
