SHOPPING EXPERIENCE
INITIUM
Watchmaking Course
GET TO KNOW
Initium offers exactly this at its seminar in the
centre of Geneva in Switzerland. After
practising mechanical watches and their
operation, you yourself will assemble your
watches under the guidance of an experienced
watchmaker.
All watches are mechanical and are variations
of the famous ETA / Unitas movement,
originally developed for pocket watches and
then applied in large watches. Usually, they
were made with different finishes.
Interestingly, Initium seems to be completely
deviating from these standard variants and
offers skeletonized versions of the mechanism
in various variations and finishes. Of course,
those who want to get a classic watch can get
it with the Geneva wave and blue-screw
screws.
In class, you will carefully assemble your
watch, but first, you will have to make
difficult decisions about what the case, dial,
hands and strap will be like. Yes, some
brands offer it online, but in this case, you
don’t collect your own watches, but here you
can try different combinations, look at them
with your own eyes and see how it works.
After assembly, before you go home in the
new hours, you will also conduct their final
tests.
Prices for participation in the seminar and
the creation of your own hours are objective.
The cost of the class "Gamma" is 1,690 Swiss
francs, with a duration of half a day; The cost
of the Delta class is 2290 Swiss francs for a
full day with a sumptuous lunch at the Relay-
e-Chateau Georges Wenger restaurant,
marked by two Michelin stars, and you will
get an individual engraved watch.
