Three Tombs are among the most beautiful examples of
monumental tombs in Anatolia . It is believed that the
largest of the three cumulates belonged to Emir Saltuk
and was built in the late 12th century . It is estimated
that the other dwellings belong to whom they were
built in the 14th century . There are different opinions
about what is a small square - shaped building next to
the graves . It is also stated that this is a group or a
mosque . Three tombs were repaired in 1956 by the
Ministry of National Education .
The Emir Saltuk Cup is made of cut stone . It has an
octagonal body , a high pulley and a conical mixture
with a dome covered with a dome . In the triangular
pediments of the tomb , which is made of two - colored
cut stone , there are animal reliefs such as bulls , snakes ,
bats and eagles in the round arches and pulley niches .
These reliefs resemble those of the Central Asian
Turkish calendars . Among the bull horns within one of
the niches is the processing of the human head . On the
eight sides of the Emir Saltuk Kumbeti there are two
windows on each side . There are geometric decoration
and flower and animal figures on the eaves of the
entrance gate , which are located in the north direction
of the dome .
The lower part of the second tomb , located southeast
of the Emir Saltuk Kumbeti , is a square plan and has
twelve façades . It is made of gray stone . There are three
small windows on the top and one on the bottom . The
window on the south side of this cupola also looks like
a mihrab . The third cluster , which is 4 meters away
from the second cluster , is made of local keystone . The
third cupola has twelve faces and four windows . The
mausoleum has a beautifully decorated mihrab on the
inside . Ornaments resembling Emir Saltuk Kümbeti
were placed in the drum of the conical cone covering
the dome .
