Want the best diet ever? Well it’s The Travel Diet™ and it
was born through Dena Roché’s seven years as a travel
journalist. She circled the globe, being wined and dined
and never gained a pound. Sometimes she even lost
weight. Yet she ate and drank more on the road than at
home. Hmmmm. After figuring out the why behind it, she
created The TravelDiet™. Following The Travel Diet, travel
can be your new wellness plan; feeding your body, mind
and soul in ways the Cabbage soup diet never could!
Dena Roché is a luxury wellness travel expert and her site
shows how a great spa can do wonders for your emotional
and physical well-being, how to use the world as your gym
and how to make smart and delicious food choices around
the globe from gourmet dining to street eats. Deprivation
is a four letter word at The Travel Diet. We show how
making fun and smart choices when you travel we’ll let
you see the world in style and not come back with 10
pounds as your souvenir! - Dena Roche

Sustainable living acquired a bit of a bad rap
over the years. From extremist position
visions of zombie apocalypse shelters to real
little houses on the prairie – any way you
splice it, the vision often doesn’t mesh well
with the advances of our modern world.
As someone who grew up watching Laura
Ingles, I certainly day-dreamt about hanging
out in that simpler time, but it wasn’t like I was
willing to give up my Billy Idol t-shirt or Star
Wars figure collection to get there.
Though I opt to embrace a sustainable lifestyle
today, I’m still resistant to giving up certain
things like my smart phone or dishwasher.
Instead, I make informed decision about the
products I purchase, reduce energy use
whenever and wherever possible, and reuse,
repurpose and recycle. To conserve resources,
to grow your own food, raise your own
backyard chickens and to utilize all the
glorious tools nature gifts us is not only
practical, it’s doable! - Barbara Webb
