personally responsible by their respective constituents .
Although there is a recall clause in the constitution that allows disgruntled constituents to recall an errant MP , the absence of a duly constituted IEBC body made that option impossible therefore the constituents decided to let the truant MPs feel the pinch .
The retribution to the greedy MPigs as they are popularly called was swift and precise as the constituents descended on their businesses and homes as guided by the all-knowing Gen-Zs who were able to identify and locate their families and businesses .
A panicked political class turned to the president to save them from their selfinflicted misery as they saw their careers unravel for doing the president ’ s bidding and an unprecedented and historic event happened . The president declined to sign the bill .
But the politicians had woken a sleeping giant . The Gen-Zs who had become accustomed to typical political empty promises were not through with the administration and decided that since the president had demonstrated habitual incompetence then he still had to go .
Their main area of contention is that the president is allergic to democracy and the constitution . The byword in the corridors of power is corruption , the more corrupt the more eligible one is and of course integrity is a foreign word in Kenya .
The president had appointed men and women of questionable education and character purely on the basis that they were necessary for him to retain power in 2027 , hence the reason that the president was already back on the campaign trail .
The president who Kenyans had already nicknamed the stewardess president since he spent more time abroad than in Kenya had since been grounded by the Gen-Zs and pushed to such a corner that he was forced to align himself with his political nemesis .
Backed up against the wall the cunning president pulled off a public relation stunt and sacked his entire cabinet including his attorney general and bought himself precious time as he planned his next move on the relentless attack of the moral army .
What made them a particularly powerful force is that they were not seeking political office and their only demand was that
But a seismic change has taken place in Kenya and the after-shock will be felt way into the future as the new politically aware and active young Kenyans who form the majority of the population will no longer normalize the unacceptable .
the president should show fealty to the constitution as he swore at inauguration and cease to use the church as a political platform .
As expected , no one relinquishes power gladly and soon corruption started to fight back and the political class , who thrive on the collective docility of the masses drew rank and started a counter-attack against a shadowy opponent .
Soon the president was shouting in the agora that there were foreign powers that were jealous of his achievements and wanted to cause chaos in Kenya . The usual chorus of a panicked president who has run out of ideas .
Then the president started to call for dialogue with the Gen-Zs but the young people saw through his ruse of trying to draw out the alleged sponsors of the chaos since in the background the security machinery was arresting and abducting suspected leaders .
It is a well-known mass control tactic that violence is the last refuge for incompetent leaders that cannot reason and soon Kenyans saw evidence of a worrisome tendency of a country reverting to the Moi era authoritarian police state .
The current president was a protégé of the Moi regime and his playbook seems to totally ignore the fact that Kenyans now live under a new constitution that eradicated imperial presidents but he believes that every Kenyan has a price and can be bought .
His vice president went as far as stating that Kenya had its shareholders and they are those who are invited to the table while the rest watch them eat which was a truthful summation of Kenya ’ s politics of kakistocracy .
It is the same vice president that has recently fallen out with the president over
his over-dalliance with those that he considers not to be shareholder of the national pie and the real grievance that he and his community are not getting their fair share of the pie .
The mindset of the president was evident in an admonition of his deputy when he publicly declared that the government belonged to him alone and he did not wish anyone to confuse the issue that the government belonged to a few Kenyans . He has no partners at the helm .
But as soon as the president got into trouble with the Gen-Zs the political class sensing danger since the condemnation was across board including a complicit judiciary coalesced into a marriage of convenience .
Ironically when the president got into dialogue mode , which was a bitter pill to swallow , it was with his political archrival who he had vowed never to share government with and the ever-pliant churches whose allegiance he had already bought during the campaigns .
And then to the utter shock of Kenyans , the man who still claimed that his victory was stolen and rightly so , was now the chief advocate for a national dialogue and had become the surprise moderating voice on behalf of a foe that was cornered .
But this weird bromance had started earlier when the cunning president sought to neutralize the opposition by offering to sponsor Baba ’ s quest to be the chairman of the African Union which Baba swallowed hook and sinker .
The Gen-Z demonstrations put the person who should have had the most to gain from a successful harassment of the government in an awkward position as he had already gone to bed with the enemy .
That is when the Damascus moment hit Kenyans and as the light bulb went on ,
