Karin Stanley is currently featured in a number of outdoor sculpture exhibitions, including her new analemmatic sundial in Pingree at the Flying Horse Sculpture Exhibit in South Hamilton, Massachusetts, and the new labyrinth at the Massachusetts Horticultural Society in Wellesley, Massachusetts. Karin’s sculpture and nature-inspired poetry is being included in the Lunar Attractions exhibition, which will run for a year at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, Massachusetts. BRIE ARTHUR Annie Martin, author of The Magical World of Moss Gardening, will present a moss gardening lecture and a hands-on workshop, Nov. 14-15, at the Garden Club of Michigan in Detroit and Grosse Pointe. She will appear at the Piedmont Chapter of the North American Rock Garden Society at J.C. Raulston Arboretum in Raleigh, North Carolina, Nov. 19, for a moss gardening lecture and a hands-on moss dish garden workshop, and she will be featured on the Native Plant Podcast. REGION III B E T H B OT T S It was an all-GWA lineup for the Fall Symposium, The Midwest Garden, Nov. 5 at Rotary Botanical Gardens in Janesville, Wisconsin. Kerry Ann Mendez spoke on “The Right Size Flower Garden” and “The Art of Shade Gardening,” Edward Lyon presented “Growing the Midwest Garden,” and Mark Dwyer talked about “Ornamental Grasses for the Midwest Garden.” See rotarybotanicalgardens.org.
