As the recipient of the NextGen scholarship that year, I was honored to be received into the GWA community with open arms. In terms both personal and professional, the people at #GWA2016 were overwhelmingly generous with their confidence, advice and resources. I spent that long weekend meeting new friends and colleagues who have since connected me with commissions for over half a dozen publications. I’ll be back this year with gratitude and eagerness to contribute to this inspiring group of individuals.” —Christopher Freimuth, #GWA2016 NextGen Scholarship Recipient 17
