FMF KTM Factory Racing ' s Trystan Hart continues to make himself known as he stacks up podium wins throughout the 2021 season , adding to the 24-year-old Canadian ' s growing accomplishments .
Among these include :
• 2017 - AMA EnduroCross 2nd Overall
• 2018 - AMA West Hare Scramble Champion
• 2019 - Erzberg Rodeo : 14th place finish ( only North American to finish )
• 2020 - AMA Extreme Offroad National Champion
• 2019-2020 - 3rd AMA EnduroCross Championship
After taking the Kenda AMA Extreme Championship win and a podium at the HEWC Tennessee Knockout , we felt it was fitting to steal a few minutes with Hart to get his thoughts on a successful 2021 as we get ready to head into the 2021 installment of EnduroCross .
ON THE PEGS : LET ' S START WITH THE TKO . AFTER WINNING THE 2020 EDITION , HOW DID THE 2021 TKO COMPARE WITH THE ADDED EUROPEAN COMPETITION ?
TRYSTAN HART : For 2021 , I definitely think every single best rider in the world was there except Graham Jarvis because he was hurt . Having the best guys in the world extreme enduro all in Tennessee for that weekend was a pretty big deal , and to finish third among the best was a kind of a dream come true . It would have been nice to win , but that ' s definitely a good start on the world stage .
It ' s my best finish against everyone so I can ' t complain too much . As far as the track goes , it was the first time they ' ve changed the main event where your final score comes from ; it was always in the Kenda Creek , but they changed it to a new creek which was probably one of the hardest main events I would say . They ' ve had some really big waterfalls we had to go up , some big rocks . It also had a really big hill climb ; normally there ' s no hill climbs in the TKO finals , so that was cool to change that up . Guys like Cody [ Webb ] have been doing that for 10 years and it ' s always been the same spot , so I think that was definitely
