this weekend ,” said Curtis . “ Qualifying day was dry and dusty and I ended up eighth , putting me on row two . Rain came in overnight and changed the conditions dramatically for the main race . I was able to holeshot my row , putting me in a good position to get through the endurocross track and into the woods to chase the first row . The final course was fun , but very technical with lots of hill climbs , creek bottoms with roots and rocks . This year ’ s course was certainly more challenging than last year ’ s . I think the race director wanted to reclaim his title of hardest hard enduro in the USA , and he may have succeeded . I am happy with the day and I am looing forward to TKO next weekend .”
