Turkey Rock Trials Area Howard , CO ( July 23-25 , 2021 )
The Rocky Mountain Trials Association hosted 33 youth and women trials riders for the Western Youth and Women ’ s Nationals at the Turkey Rock trials area . This was a 3 day series with overall championships awarded in 5 age group classes plus the women ’ s class but riders could also enter non championship classes to match capabilities to section difficulty .
A highlight of the weekend this year was training for any interested riders on the Thursday prior to the event provided free of charge to all participants by Bruce and Winonah Bolander using the Lloyd Bolander Memorial Fund specifically left to benefit youth . There were a couple sessions offered with instruction by TRS ’ national # 5 pro rider Josh Roper , Luke Littlefield and Nigel Parker , who also stuck around for the event and served as minders for a few competitors . National # 4 pro Daniel Blanc-Gonnet also made the trip to represent Gas
