I ’ m not the best on the back tire and I ’ d like to get better at that , but we ' ll see how it plays out . In the Women ’ s Pro class , GasGas ’ s Maddie Hoover stayed solid on the weekend , finishing on top of the podium both days against TRS ’ s Kylee Sweeten . With this being the first set of rounds with another Women ’ s Pro , Hoover has been comparing her scores to those of the Expert Sportsman class and was over the moon to see herself post the best score on Sunday , taking only 15 points , she would be ahead of Eric Tidmore ( 35 points ) and Dalton Dunman ( 36 points ).
“ I had my best result this season being the top ES rider , so that was awesome ,” said
Hoover . “ I had just a little bit of a bike problem that was surprising , but we fixed it and everything was perfect . At first , I was a little frustrated ; of course everyone gets frustrated , but I managed to keep the frustration at a minimum and to turn it into a positive . We had plenty of time , and it happens to everyone . I knew that we could fix the problem so I wasn ' t extremely stressed , but it definitely puts a little kink in things happening so early in the second lap . It put me in a little rushed mind state , but it was good it was fun . I went out on my third loop and had just a great time . These sections were easier than yesterday , but they were still really good sections . They really tested if you had the basics or not , and I really enjoyed them . It was awesome to have Kylee [ Sweeten ] here so the women ' s class had a little bit of competition .”
