kept him in front by a slim four points . Alex would end the day in fifth place with 51 points , with Will right behind in sixth with 55 points .
Coming in seventh place with 64 points was Karl Davis Jr , who continued to battle shoulder pain and injury , forcing him to choose which sections were worth the risk , and which ones to cut his losses and take full points . His plan is to try to finish out the season .
“ This weekend Saturday and Sunday kind of went the same ,” said Karl . “ I was struggling pretty hard with my shoulder . I fell a couple weeks ago in Colorado and injured it more ; I ended up dislocating my SC joint and that put me in a lot of pain and discomfort for the whole weekend . But I knew that coming in ; I just wanted to have a good positive attitude and just enjoy riding and put on a good show , support the bike , support the sport and just do my best . I really feel like I ’ ve poured my heart and soul into this weekend . I had some awesome rides I ’ m very proud of and just some rides where the sections were just too long where I couldn ' t hang on any longer . I was kind of pushing and flailing .
