on section six or seven , my dad came up to me and he was like “ what are you doing ? Dude , you gotta fix this . Go take a couple minutes , find a spot off the trail and ride and relax a little bit .” That just set the tone for the rest of the day . I was able to come back , regroup myself , and I was just able to put together a lot of solid rides . I started my second loop with a clean on the first section which was just a game changer from first loop because first loop I ended up taking a three there and that just was a huge confidence booster . I was able to keep that kind of momentum rolling and I was able to keep stacking up cleans and a few ones and twos here and there .
It feels really good to take what I would call a really rough start to the day where I thought I was completely out of it and then I just did nothing but focus and buckled down and was able to pull out a win .
I ' d say the altitude played a little bit of an issue after like a really long section or something you start holding your breath or it gets hard to breathe and then every now and then I ’ d forget I need to give the bike just a little bit more power than I normally would at home [ in Kansas ], but for the most part the altitude didn ' t really bother me all that much . What ' s really cool about being on Vertigo with the fuel injection is that I get here and I can just turn up idle a little bit and be good ; I don ' t have to worry about the carb and jets and all that stuff so I was pretty dialed from the start .
I would definitely like to thank Vertigo and my dad , because if it wasn ' t for them , today would not have been possible that ' s for sure .”

Sunday ’ s loop was the same as Saturday ’ s with slight detours leading to twelve completely new sections . Riders continued to struggle at times with the large sections , pushing their 90-second time limit quite often .
