knew I was going to be pretty competitive with having a better loop first lap . That put pressure on me to keep that up on the second and third loop , too . Going out on the rest of my second loop , I had about two hours , so I knew I had plenty of time . After a mechanical like that , it ' s always in the back of your head . I had a really good second lap , I finished with an 11-point second loop . Going out on my third , by the time I got to around section four , it started raining really hard , so it was kind of a fight to just get through the sections at that point because the rocks were getting more slick than I had anticipated being in Arizona .
It was a challenge to get through some of the sections ; a couple of sections I took a five when I had been cleaning them before , so it was a frustrating last lap . I was able to stay strong and I actually ended up with a fifth place , which is way better than I thought I ’ d be having my last lap being in the rain . I ended with a 23-point last loop , so having over doubled my second loop is definitely frustrating , but I pushed as hard as I could . “
