Riding the " Pantyhose Special " is Mike Carpenter and Jim Bridges .

Therein was the challenge since the driver of a sidecar only applies the throttle and brake , the monkey must do the steering by shifting his weight and leaning . With all that equipment , the cameramen virtually could do no leaning while filming . Adding to the excitement of the day was the crowd of over 200 spectators who came to see this event . One group drove from Minnesota and another from North Carolina just to spectate . The event attracted local riders from all forms of motorcycling , as well as trials riders
