“ It ’ s definitely a bummer that we ’ re not able to get on the podium ,” said Oliveira , still in good spirits . “ That would ’ ve been super cool . But accidents happen in racing and there ’ s nothing you can do about it . We ’ ll be back next year and ready to hammer down !”
Team Italy was able to keep their first-place position , but after Walton ’ s crash on Day 3 , Team France and Team Sweden moved ahead and were able to keep a solid hold on second and third positions , respectively . Team Chile moved up to fourth place , with Team Czech Republic rounding out the top five .
" We were in good second place up until the crash that could ' ve happened to anyone ," said Kallonen . " Again , I would say we were about two seconds off each guy , to be able to fight for the championship . If each guy on average was two to three seconds faster in every test , we could have been up there .
I take positives from that team , although we didn ’ t get a result at all , as far as a team result , but still solid . Very bright future on the junior team . We are way overdue to get the junior championship ; it ’ s been a while , since Argentina [ in 2014 ]."
