ROUND 2 – CHARADE , FRANCE – JULY 4
The first of two rounds to be held in France opened to rainy conditions . Despite the sun making an appearance to help dry the terrain for the second loop , the sections were extremely slippery and led to a high-points day for many riders .
Trial GP
France saw Beta ’ s Teo Colairo make his TrialGP debut after four seasons in the Trial2 class as well as the return of GasGas ’ s Jorge Casales after passing his COVID testing .
Bou continued to dominate , posting the best loop of the day with only five points dropped on loop two for a total of only 24 points . Adam Raga and Matteo Grattarola ’ s battle for second place came down to the very last section . Despite having a single-point lead over Raga , the duo left section 12 tied on points at 46 apiece , but it was Grattarola who won out , having completed the event approximately three minutes faster . With his career-best finish , he moved to third position in the series . Raga had been in eighth place after the first loop with 40 points and completely changed his mindset
