is such a drastic difference from the events in the US , between learning a different culture , different languages , massive production crews , and legendary riders all around you , “ you don ’ t really know how they ’ re going to perform until you actually put them in that environment ,” explained Todd .
“ I have always wanted to do the TdN ,” said Courtney . “ I didn ’ t expect it so soon , I thought maybe in a year or two , I would be able to go . They made the announcement at the final NATC round in Minnesota , and I was in complete shock at first . I was like , ‘ this can ’ t be right .’ And then it hit me that I get to go to Italy to ride motorcycles ! Who can say that ?
“ I was super excited that Maddie and Kylee were my teammates because I knew they were going to help walk me through the process and make sure I had everything I needed to succeed . Knowing that was a huge boost to my confidence , since it was my first time out of the country , first time overseas , first time riding anything other than the NATC .”
HOW DOES THE TEAM FORMAT WORK ?
Each nation is permitted to bring three riders for each of their teams . Riders will each attempt a section , and the best two rides will count towards the team ’ s overall scores .
