Blanc-Gonnet was able to keep a hold on third , despite Alex Myers making a marked improvement on the final two loops ; they would tie on overall points , but Myers would lose the position on the number of single-point sections ( six to the GasGas rider ’ s eight ). Karl Davis Jr would round out the top five . Niederer had a rough start to the day , but was able to find his rhythm and clean the entire second loop . Two failed sections on the last loop dropped him back to the bottom of the leaderboard , tied with Will Myers , but losing the tie breaker by a single cleaned section . Fastle would continue to improve every loop , but it wasn ’ t enough to move him out of last place .
“ Today went better than yesterday ,” said Fastle . “ This is a real fun event and I ’ m glad to be back in my home state in New Mexico . I grew up riding here at this riding area in Roswell , so it brought back a lot of memories . I ' m still not where I want to be at technically with my riding , but I came out here , gave my best , had a lot of fun , and did a lot better today than I did yesterday so I ’ m real happy with that . I ’ m glad we had a series again , and it was fun to be able to go and see everyone and ride with them . I definitely need more time to practice but having three kids , a full-time job , going for
