The format was a three-and-a-halfhour race time with three separate checkpoints . The seven-mile course was made up of a nice mix of faster flowing sections and technical sections , included three splits where the Bronze and Iron classes broke off from the Gold and Silver classes to continue through scaled-down sections . After the first round in the series , SEER saw the increasing number of entries in the Silver and Bronze classes and decided to further delineate competitors by age , creating both a “ 16-34y ” class and a “ 35 +” class .
The weather held together for race day , starting off a bit chilly in the morning , but warming up in plenty of time for the main event . Competitors included endurostaples like DRT Husqvarna ’ s Ryder LeBlond , FactoryONE Sherco ’ s Nick Fahringer , and Reiju USA ’ s Quinn Wentzel , but also saw GNCC Pro Magna1 Motorsports Husqvarna ’ s Jordan Ashburn and 11x AMA National Trials Champion FactoryONE Sherco ’ s Pat Smage .
The 19-year-old LeBlond came hot off the line , taking one of his first holeshots and never looked back , taking his second win of the series . The course layout played well to his GNCC and hare scramble background , while the technical sections allowed him to put all of his extreme enduro training to work .
