RENEE TURNER – mother of KTM ’ s Shelby Turner , the highly accomplished GNCC and enduro rider who has countless titles to her name , including four AMA EnduroCross Championships and four ISDE gold medals . When her kids were young and starting to compete , Renee started helping with scoring for the Lethbridge Motorcycle Club in Alberta , Canada . She soon saw there were no real competitions for young kids , as most clubs were only holding poker rides , and wanted the off-road youth riders to have the same award ceremonies that their motocross counterparts enjoyed , complete with trophies . Renee worked with property owners and friends in various clubs and orchestrated the creation of several youth classes . Many of the kids who have worked their way through this system have become Pro riders , such as FMF KTM ’ s Trystan Hart and GasGas ’ s Spenser Wilton . She has also recently taken up the position of Assistant Team Manager for the Canadian ISDE team . Unfortunately , due to COVID , Renee hasn ’ t been able to travel to watch her daughter ride in the States , which has been an adjustment .
