Will scared everyone with a hard crash on the first lap which saw his Sherco land squarely on his back . “ My first thought was , ‘ I just broke my back .’ The bike landed on me and I got the muffler straight to my back ,” Myers said . He was down for a few minutes before rising with the help of medics , and incredibly continuing to compete . “ I was thinking , we ’ re not driving 2,700 miles out here just to ride three sections and then DNF . I was able to push through and that ’ s kinda what I needed .”
The Women ’ s Pro competition proved to be nearly as tight as the Men ’ s , but in the end it was once again Louise Forsley capturing the overall victory . Maddie Hoover and Kylee Sweeten rounded out the podium , respectively , with their final scores only separated by two points . Louise ended her day with a five when she threw a chain in the final section , and while she lamented “ not riding like myself ,” she was happy to celebrate another win , this one coming only days after she contested the RevLimiter Extreme Enduro .
