The epicenter of the motocross industry slowed down for a day at the GASGAS North America headquarters , as the second-annual California Trial Invitational once again took place at the test facility of the Austrian brands in Murrieta , California . The hotbed of KTM , Husqvarna and GASGAS racing ( in the same lot as the brands ’ Supercross test tracks ) was host to another trials competition only nine months after the inaugural event , this time with the backing of Red Bull and a Fox Sports broadcast crew .
The Covid lockdown of summer 2020 actually sparked the concept of the event , as GASGAS ’ Geoff Aaron explained . After building a handful of trials features for his competitors to train on , the 10-time national champion had the idea of hosting an event at the test track , itself .
