“ I ended up getting the holeshot and then pretty much just led the whole race ,” said LeBlond . “ I came through the second lap to get gas , and my dad said I had a pretty big lead , like 10 minutes at that time . I wasn ’ t expecting that , and it gave me a boost of confidence . I just rode really well the rest of the day . I didn ’ t really get stuck too much and ended up winning . The whole track just worked really well for me . I ’ d love to give a shout out to the folks at SEER . They put together really good races , and I ’ ll think they ’ ll just continue to grow .”
In a bizarre turn of events during the second lap , Nick Fahringer attempted to adjust his suspension with a screwdriver while battling with Jordan Ashburn . With arm pump setting in , he slipped going through a turn and punctured the gas tank low on the tank , causing a steady stream of gas to pour out as he made a beeline for the pits . Luckily , he had a spare tank in reserve , and after some quick mechanic work , swapped tanks and was back on course , making a strong push for an impressive fourth-place finish just behind Ashburn .
