The Miller Ranch Trials ( MRT ) is a trials event that takes place in Corning , New York three times a season – Spring , Summer Fall . It is a gate trials format which allows for all skill levels and both modern and vintage bikes a chance to compete . The terrain is exciting with plenty of creek beds , valleys , and log crossings . Experienced riders will be challenged to hit all the gates , while newer trials riders like me
will have the option to select an easier route at the expense of a lower score by going through less gates . The gate trials event is an excellent way to get exposed to trials competition without feeling the pressure to ride a specific class or gate that you may not be fully comfortable with yet . You are bound to work up an appetite so after a full day of riding enjoy a picnic after the event !
