Randy , along with his father Bobby and sister Dana , own Silver Hawk Plantation . Through a friendship that goes back to Randy ’ s early days of off-road stardom , Greg Holder was able to gain access to the magnificent property several years ago , so big thanks to the Hawkins family for providing an amazing home to White Lightning .
All the elements are in place for a great weekend . Roaming the ample pit area , you quickly realize that this is a special event . There is an ambience and camaraderie in the air that is equal parts early season anticipation , excellence in event execution , beautiful and enticing property , diversity in motorcycles that rivals any bike show , a collective buzz from vintage motorcycling enthusiasts and their families , and beautiful weather to showcase it all ( especially nice for those that have promised their wives it would be warm !). It is easy to see why this event is so well regarded and attended . A record number of gate entries were noted this year , and at a quick count , more than fifteen states are represented .
