El Trial is a weekend of great competition in classes Novice through Pro , the highlight being the afternoon ' s world-class Pro Exhibition for the top-level riders . Spectators flock to see these elite riders tackle spectacular sections that test their riding ability and courage .
Passion and love for the sport led Fred Belair to create this iconic event . That same passion is why El Trial de España continues to live today .
The 50th Anniversary of the event had a rocky start ! Originally planned to be held in April 2020 , with online registration starting on March 1 , the event sold out within three days . Only to be canceled on March 15 , when the Covid pandemic hit . Like event organizers worldwide , we were enthusiastic for the pandemic to last only a few months and rescheduled our big event for October that year . Little did we know that this was only the first of the total FOUR postponements of the event .
